BBC Studioworks has recently provided full studio services and technical support for the twelfth series of the BAFTA award-winning Sky 1 and Sky 1 HD comedy panel show, A League of Their Own
July 2017: Produced by CPL Productions, A League of Their Own is hosted by James Corden and pits two teams of some of the biggest names in comedy and sport against each other, tackling questions and a series of physical challenges.

Studioworks has facilitated A League of Their Own since the third series in 2011. Across the years, Studioworks has ensured the smooth running of this complex and diverse production, with the twelfth series of the popular sports-themed show comprising of eight episodes. The show resumed residency with Studioworks in the 15,770 sq. ft. George Lucas Stage 2 across late June and early July 2017.
From giant water tanks and ice rinks, to zip wires across the set from the studio’s 49 ft. high gantry, Studioworks has accommodated various unusual and complex filming requirements across the last ten series. Challenges for series 12 included a muddy assault course, a mini motorbike race and a virtual sky dive.
