BBC Two’s satirical celebrity panel show returned to Television Centre for its most recent series

This summer, BBC One’s Mock the Week returned to our Television Centre studio facility with the show’s seventeenth series. Producers, Angst Productions, took up a weekly residency in our 10,800 sq.ft. Studio TC1 to record the six episode series, from 4 June to 10 July 2018.

In addition to the studio and gallery hire, the production made use of TC1’s adjustable 6oo-seater audience rostra, our HDC-4300 cameras and the provision of EVS tapeless recording. Television Centre was home to Mock the Week for series one-11, before the facility closed for redevelopment.

Presented by Dara Ó Briain and Hugh Dennis, Mock the Week is a comedy programme that combines the best elements of panel show, stand-up and improvised games with two teams of comedians taking a satirical swipe at the news and world events.
