Virtually Famous

E4’s popular late night comedy panel show Virtually Famous kicked off its third consecutive series with BBC Studioworks in December 2016 and continued production across early 2017.

Produced by Talkback and Hungry Bear Media for E4, Virtually Famous returned to E4 on Tuesday nights across January and February, and the final episode of the current series transmits tonight.

Virtually Famous sees newly appointed show host, Chris Ramsey, lead two celebrity panels into battle for points in a series of challenges covering social media sensations. He’s joined by returning team captain Comedian Seann Walsh, new team captain Geordie Shore star Vicky Pattison, and new regular panellist Gogglebox star and ‘I’m a Celebrity’ winner Scarlett Moffatt.

BBC Studioworks’ Stage 8 housed the Virtually Famous set. Allowing the production flexibility, the studio catered to the various games and challenges within the show that celebrates social media superstars of past and present.

As a standard for most TV panel shows based out of the 7,550 sq. ft. Stage 8 a seven camera set-up, including six pedestal cameras and one jib were in place on Virtually Famous. All the laughs were captured in front of a 350-strong audience, the production also made full use of the studio’s HD galleries and ancillary facilities, including costume, make-up and dressing rooms, production offices, props workshops and green rooms.
